"In early 2002, I made a trip to Chicago to visit the regional office of the U.S. Export-Import Bank. Although we had previously been a supplier of equipment under Ex-Im Bank supported medium-term loans, we were seeking a more proactive approach. I wanted to learn more about both programs and resources to significantly expand our export business.
During that meeting I was introduced to another Minnesota company that I was told would be an important resource. I was encouraged to contact Trade Acceptance Group as a resource for both financing and risk mitigation programs to support our budding export business. To my surprise, when I returned to my office there was a letter from TAG, who had been referred to us by another local company and client of theirs.
From the very first meeting it was evident that TAG specialized in the types of programs we needed, and that they had extensive experience in managing them in a very professional manner with a sense of ownership. TAG customized a solution for us and our banker where Dom-Ex was the insured exporter and not just a passive supplier. This gave us more control of the outcomes and produced immediate tangible, successful results.
Over the intervening years TAG brokered both Ex-Im Bank and private sector insurance policies to insure our export sales. We have used their credit agency report services, referrals, and more importantly their short-term export finance program. TAG has been a real asset in the growth of our export business by providing risk mitigation and financing, coupled with sound advice."
